Family and Friends Pay Final Respects to Willie McCaa

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Many mourners lined up outside the Pentacostal Temple Church of God in Christ, to pay their respects to Willie McCaa III.

The 26-year-old father of two, was gunned down outside of City Grill. Family members say he was attending a birthday party.

Over 200 people filled the church for a celebration of McCaa's life. Grief counselors were also on hand to help friends and family deal with the tragedy.

Police are still searching for the gunman who took four lives and injured four others on August 14th. Before McCaa's funeral, another public plea for information was given.

Mayor Byron Brown said, "In order to make sure this individual or individuals get the punishment they deserve, people need to search their hearts and have the courage to come forward and say what they know."

The final funeral marks the beginning of new efforts to get out in the community and stop the violence before it starts.

"Until we can raise the general conscience of this community, that you cannot solve any conflict with shooting, killing, and hurting people senselessly...until that stops, we will not be Buffalo at its best."
