Roswell Park Holds National Bone Marrow Drive
News

BUFFALO, NY-Roswell Park and the National Marrow Donor Program are holding a Bone Marrow Donor Drive in Roswell's main lobby on Tuesday, August 3rd from 4-6 PM.

If you're between the ages of 18-60 with no history of cancer, diabetes or heart problems, you can become either a bone marrow or peripheral blood stem cell donor.

Marrow and stem cell transplants are used to treat leukemia, lymphoma and other life-threatening diseases. Only 30% of these people find a matching donor within their own families.

Donor screening is free and involves a simple swab of the inside of the cheek. All information collected at the drive goes into a computerized registry for those who have agreed to potentially donate marrow or stem cells.
