R E F E R: Three Poets from Michigan, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Big Orbit Gallery, 30d Essex Street, Buffalo. Featuring Gina Myers, Sarah Jeanne Peters, & JodiAnn Stevenson. Free admission.

Gina Myers currently lives in Saginaw, MI where she edits Lame House Press and works as the Book Review Editor for NewPages. She is the author of the full-length poetry collection A Model Year (Coconut Books, 2009), and several chapbooks, including most recently September Requiem (Binge Press, 2010) and Heartbreaking Machines (Lazy Frog, 2010), a collaboration with Nate Pritts.

Sarah Jeanne Peters is a poet, teacher, behavioral therapist and stand-up comedian. Her publications include the chapbook Curses and other love poems; poems in Abandon Automobile: Anthology of Detroit City Poetry, Poems from Penny Lane, Watching the Wheels: A Black Bird, Kadar Koli, Napalm Health Spa and the International Worker. She recently collaborated with musicians, dancers and artists in a multi-media event at Public Pool Gallery exploring the life of dreams, Nocturnal Translations, in Hamtramck, MI.

JodiAnn Stevenson currently lives in Bay City, MI where she teaches poetry & writing at Delta College. She is the founding editor of Binge Press & 27 rue de fleures, an online literary journal, and maintains an online gallery of her own visual poetry at www.bowlofmilk.com.  Her first collection of prose poems, The Procedure, was published in the Fall of 2006 by March Street Press.
