LPCiminelli Announces Statewide, Regional Recognition for Recently Completed Projects

Evergreen Lofts, U.S. Customs Plaza and RiverBend Celebrated as Top Construction Projects

BUFFALO, N.Y. – LPCiminelli announced three of its projects have been recognized for their quality and excellence. Evergreen Lofts was honored as a top historic preservation project in New York State, while the Buffalo High-Tech Manufacturing Innovation Hub at Riverbend and the Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority’s U.S. Customs Plaza Commercial Building earned distinctions as top projects in the Buffalo Niagara region.

“Our team works hard to deliver high-quality construction projects that empower the buildings’ owners to achieve the mission they hope to accomplish with their new space,” said Frank L. Ciminelli II, president of LPCiminelli. “We’re proud to know these projects will have a lasting impact on our Western New York community and the local economy.”

Evergreen Lofts, a project LPCiminelli completed in August 2016, won the 2017 Excelsior Award for Historic Preservation, a statewide recognition awarded by AIA New York State. The Evergreen Lofts project was a historic restoration of a 65,000-square foot building that was originally constructed in 1901 for a trunk manufacturer.

LPCiminelli and its construction team transformed the building into 56 apartments with conference rooms and mixed-use areas, while maintaining much of building’s original heritage. Evergreen Health will use the housing complex as a component of their ambitious reuse plan that aims to support individuals who are homeless or chronically ill.

The Buffalo High-Tech Manufacturing Innovation Hub at Riverbend recently won the 2017 Brick by Brick Award for Best Manufacturing project. The Brick by Brick Awards are led by Buffalo Business First to recognize the best real estate and development projects in the Buffalo Niagara region. The PBA’s U.S. Customs Plaza Commercial Building was the recipient of the Brick by Brick Award for Best Green Construction and Rehab project.

LPCiminelli also recently celebrated with the Chautauqua Institution to help cut the ribbon on its Amphitheater. The Amphitheater Renewal project, on which LPCiminelli served as general contractor, has received positive reviews for its accelerated construction timeline and its adherence to the Amphitheater’s original character.
