Q & A with Janna Willoughby-Lohr of Papercraft Miracles

Q & A with Janna Willoughby-Lohr of Papercraft Miracles

Recently, I had the pleasure of speaking to a multifaceted artist I have the pleasure of knowing personally and professionally, Janna Willoughby-Lohr. Instead of focusing on her numerous talents, I chose to focus on her main passion, paper.

Being both a supporter of her work, and a loyal customer, our conversation turned into a Q & A.  Janna can create whatever your heart desires. I own and have gifted several journals created by Janna and my son had his first art publication in her teacup book series.

Janna is unstoppable, dedicated, knows her work and continues to educate herself in all aspects of the art of paper. Look no further for paper, journal, bookbinding and photo album needs because Papercraft Miracles is beyond impeccable.

Below is our Q & A, along with links to where you can find Janna, her work and events she will be appearing and teaching:

The Pickle Ship, an artisan printing and stamping company specializing in high-quality letterpress printing, foil stamping, embossing and die cutting, was launched today by Graphcon, Inc., an Orchard Park-based printing services company.

The Pickle Ship and Graphcon are owned and operated by brothers DJ and Matt Schutt.

“In this digital age where media is often produced at the push of a button, we are resurrecting the craftsmanship associated with printing,” said Matt Schutt. “Being a third-generation artisan print shop and having learned the business from our father, we respect the time-honored printing techniques handed down from generation to generation.”

Beer Enthusiasts About to Get a Taste of WNY Brewing History

Something very unique has been brewing in Buffalo for nearly three years, and this “wild ale” is about to be unleashed on local beer enthusiasts!

This particular brewing adventure dates back to the summer of 2013, before Big Ditch Brewing Company opened its doors at 55 East Huron St. in downtown Buffalo. Hoping to promote the brewery, Big Ditch President Matt Kahn and Head Brewer Corey Catalano visited the Elmwood-Bidwell Farmers Market on two occasions to hand out a few trinkets and conduct home brewing demonstrations.
