Greater Western New York Paranormal Society at Cazenovia Library

The Greater Western New York Paranormal Society is a Regional Paranormal Investigation team based out of Buffalo NY.  They investigate paranormal activity and broadcast the findings on their show, "Behind the Shadows."

CEO and Founder, Daniel Klaes, asked if I wished to witness a paranormal investigation at Cazenovia Library in my neighborhood of South Buffalo, New York.

I, of course, said yes.

The entire area on and surrounding Cazenovia Park to Buffum Street is well known for extremely intense spiritual and paranormal activity. On Buffum Street, off of Seneca Street, there lies the original burial ground of Sagoyewatha [Red Jacket] - a Native American Seneca Indian Chief.

“Thank-A-Vet” Program Honors Veterans

To each and every American who has worn the uniform of the United States, I simply say “Thank you for your service”   ~Erie County Clerk Chris Jacobs

On Veterans Day, we honor the men and women who have served our nation, both in war and in peace; the men and women who answered the call to defend our nation. The United States rose to greatness on the strength of their service and their stories are woven into the fabric of our nation’s history. More than 26 million veterans are alive today, one million of which have been wounded and many of whom receive treatment for battlefield injuries and mental trauma suffered in battles few of us remember but they will never forget.

New Education Programs, Treatments and Technology Could Address Healthcare Costs

New Education Programs, Treatments and Technology Could Address Healthcare Costs

Regardless of what one may think about the changes happening with the country's healthcare, there's no denying that the cost of medical care is rising. Fortunately, advances in education, science and technology are changing the way many people think about their health, or at least provide more options to consider besides traditional medical treatments. Consider the growing popularity of electronic cigarettes (e-cigs), which are widely believed to be far healthier than cigarettes, and the interest in locally grown foods without added chemicals. Also consider the fact that a school for aromatherapy -- The New York Institute of Aromatherapy -- has recently opened (their site contains lots of useful resources as well). Or newer vapor treatments that make use of aromatherapy.

AT&T and the Buffalo Sabres Team Up to Support the ECMC Mobile Mammography coach

AT&T and the Buffalo Sabres have teamed up to give fans some extra cheering power this season. Starting Friday at the home opener and for nine other home games this season, Sabre fans can go to the AT&T Connection Center located within the First Niagara Center’s concourse and use an AT&T device to customize a cheer card that they can use to help cheer on the team.

The customized cheer cards are free and will be printed on site, and each fan will receive an email and photo of their cheer to post on their social media sites such as Facebook page, Twitter, etc.

For each cheer card, AT&T will donate $1 to benefit the Erie County Medical Center Lifeline Foundation to support the ECMC Mobile Mammography coach, up to $5,000.

In addition, during the game, the Sabres will run a scoreboard video feature where they will search for an identify the “Cheer Card of the Game” and announce AT&T’s pledge to donate $1 for each card created.
