A benefit for West Seneca native and Elma resident Karl Hallmark will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 13, at the Iron Workers’ Hall, 196 Orchard Park Road, West Seneca.

Hallmark was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 9 and has dealt with lifelong complication such as compromised vision, neuropathy and kidney dialysis. He is currently on the Cleveland Clinic’s organ transplant list awaiting a new pancreas and kidneys.

An automotive and motorcycle enthusiast, Hallmark worked for M&T Bank from 1994 to 2011 and KeyBank from 1988 to 1994. He is a 1980 graduate of Bishop Timon High School in South Buffalo.

Tickets for the benefit are just $20 and will include refreshments and entertainment. The benefit will also feature a basket auction, silent auction, raffles and much more. To purchase tickets, please contact Marybeth at 876-1236 or Sue at 984-7841.
