BUFFALO, N.Y.-- U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul, Jr. announced today that a federal Grand Jury charged Michael McCall, 60, of Cheektowaga in an Indictment with engaging in a Continuing Criminal Enterprise. The charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 20 years in prison and a maximum of life, a fine of $2,000,000 or both. In the same Indictment, the Grand Jury also charged twelve other defendants with conspiracy to traffic in narcotics, which offense carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, a fine of $1,000,000 or both.
McCall was arrested in July 2010 along with 15 others following a long-term investigation into the widespread illegal sale of prescription drugs in the city of Buffalo and its surrounding suburbs for. To date, three have been convicted.
