Farm to Pint Week, May 13 - 20, 2017

The fourth annual Farm to Pint (F2P) event at the Hamburg Brewing Company, sponsored by the Buffalo Niagara Brewers Association (BNBA), is now one of three events to celebrate F2P Week with craft beer produced exclusively from locally sourced ingredients throughout Western New York.  F2P Week is May 13, 2017 through May 20, 2017.

On Saturday, May 13th from Noon until 3 p.m., Pizza Plant on 7770 Transit Road will host a F2P Expo featuring specially made craft beers, spirits and artisan made foods. Among the participating brewers include Four Mile Brewing, Rusty Nickel Brewing Co., Southern Tier Brewing Company and Windy Brew.  Other featured vendors include, Black Bird Cider Works, Evening Side Vineyards and Lockhouse Distillery; Dispenza’s Natural Meat Market in Ransomville, Flat #12 Mushrooms in Buffalo and Reverie Creamery and Artisan Market in Mayville; and, Niagara Malt and Sheldon Grain Company.  All week long, Pizza Plant will feature a local pizza pod and will be tapping additional F2P kegs at both Transit Road and Canalside locations.

The Hamburg Brewing Company will host its 4th Annual F2P event on Sunday, May 14 at its brewery on 6553 Boston State Road in Hamburg from Noon until 8 p.m.  This event allows guests to meet the brewers from across the region who comprise the BNBA.  Guests will also be able to meet local barley and hops farmers and to learn more about how these local products are used to make craft beer.  All of the craft beers for this event will be made using local ingredients.

The final event for the week is the Full Circle Fest which will be held on Saturday, May 20th at 42 North Brewing Company on 25 Pine Avenue in East Aurora from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m.  There will be 15 western New York craft breweries on hand in a biergarten setting and will include a pig roast of a hog that was raised on 42N spent grain.  For more information please visit http://42northbrewing.com/events/.

“F2P Week demonstrates the farm-to-table movement and craft beer has a central role in these phenomena,” said Willard Brooks, chairman of the BNBA Board of Directors. “The F2P event at the Hamburg Brewing Company has been such a huge success that the BNBA board thought it would be good to make it a weeklong celebration of events not too dissimilar to our annual Buffalo Beer Week.”
