City of Buffalo Open Houses | Events
A Statement Released by Erie County
The City of Buffalo will host public Open Houses in nine neighborhoods throughout Buffalo between June 4 through June 9, to present and get public input on the draft elements of the city’s new zoning code, which was last updated in 1953. These public events will offer citizens an opportunity to preview the draft code, learn how the code will benefit their neighborhood, and discuss the details at Open House stations with project team members.
The attached citywide fliers describe the initiative in greater detail. They were prepared by the City of Buffalo, and are being provided as a courtesy by the Division of Environmental Remediation within the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC).
This update is associated in part with the Brownfield Opportunity Area (BOA) grant coordinated by the New York State Department of State. The BOA Study will be an in-depth analysis and masterplan for approximately 1,800 acres of strategically located, but largely underutilized land in areas of Buffalo primarily proximate to the Lake Erie waterfront, the Buffalo River and along major transportation infrastructure including New York State Route 5.
The fliers are in PDF format. You can save, open, and read the fliers by using Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can go to the following web page on the NYSDEC web site to download the program for free: http://www.dec.ny.gov/about/590.html
