Catholic Health Sponsors Free Women's Wellness Program on Uterine Health

Women of all ages experience painful uterine conditions, such as fibroids, endometriosis, pelvic organ prolapse, abdominal pain, and irregular bleeding. In fact, hysterectomy – the surgical removal of the uterus – is the second most common surgery for women in theU.S.

To provide area women with important health information, Catholic Health is sponsoring a free Women’s Wellness program on common gynecologic and uterine conditions, entitled “Endometriosis, Fibroids & Other Common Conditions: A Women’s Guide to Uterine Health,” on Wednesday, April 13 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at the Williamsville Diagnostic Center, 400 International Drive, Williamsville, NY.

Women’s health specialist, Ali Ghomi, MD, will present the latest information on uterine health including symptoms to watch for, when to talk to a doctor, factors that can affect uterine health, and the latest advancements in the medical and surgical treatment of uterine conditions.

This program is designed for women who have experienced uterine health concerns or those who want to maintain their uterine health. Family and friends are welcome to attend. Registration is required. For more information or to register, call Catholic Health’s HealthConnection at (716) 447-6205 or log on to www.chsbuffalo.org/events.
