Date Night in Buffalo

Date Night in Buffalo

The weekend has arrived, it's Friday night in Buffalo. The weekend means there should be a date night on the horizon, but what to do if the money isn't there to go out on a date? Being the mother of two guys, ages 18 and 21, and finding that they are not dating because of finances, it has become my mission to find ways to date that are romantic, inexpensive, but don't make you come off as cheap.

These ideas may not work perfectly for the 18 to 25 age group, but married couples take note, you can keep it fresh and romantic by finding time to "date" once a week. Money tighter than ever? Make a "date night" once a month.

Do you have more ideas on how to keep date night inexpensive, yet still romantic? I'd love to hear them!

BUFFALO - July 27, 2011- Yesterday, my colleague and I were canvassing Buffalo in search of local history.  While ambling through the Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park, I recognized a very familiar sugary scent.

“Do you smell that?” I asked.

“I do!” she exclaimed, “It smells like cotton candy!  Where is it?”

HUD Program Helps Homeowners Catch Up With Mortgage Payments

The Emergency Homeowners' Loan Program (EHLP) was created to help homeowners who are temporarily and involuntarily unemployed or underemployed due to economic conditions or a medical condition, and are at risk of foreclosure.

The EHLP will provide eligible homeowners with emergency assistance that pays a portion of their monthly mortgage payment for up to 24 consecutive months, or up to $50,000, whichever occurs first.
