Car crashes through guardrail, lands on Route 33
News

BUFFALO, NY - A car crashed through the guardrail on Humboldt Parkway at Glenwood Avenue and landed on the Kensington Expressway (Route 33) below, Sunday at about 8:30 p.m.

Police are connecting this incident to a fatal shooting that happened on Purdy Street a short time earlier, but they haven't said how the events are related.

The expressway was closed for close to three hours for the clean-up and investigation. Police haven't said anything about injuries stemming from the crash.

A car running from police went through the same barrier two blocks away in April of 2014. The driver, Kevin Wayne Brown, 47, died when his car exploded on impact.

We'll have more information here on WGRZ.com and in upcoming newscasts as it becomes available.
