Coppola Appointed to State Parole Board
News

BUFFALO, NY--   Former State Senator and Buffalo Common Councilmember Marc Coppola will now serve as a state parole board commissioner. It's a plum appointment from the governor that your tax dollars paid for.

The state legislature voted to confirm that appointment today.

Coppola's salary will be just over $101,000 a year for what many consider part time work. It is the third highest salary for that job in the country.

We called Coppola tonight and asked for an interview. He first agreed and then later declined.

Two years ago Our Scott Brown did an in-depth report about the parole board, its high salaries and the political connections of its members.
