The court said Paladino did not meet the burden "to establish a good cause to invalidate the Board's actions."
State Supreme Court Judge Donna Siwek heard arguments in the matter Wednesday morning, and by the evening had issued the ruling.
Judge Siwek denied Paladino's request, essentially allowing the Board to continue with it's hiring of Dr. Pamela Brown.
Paladino charged last week that the body violated its own policies and state rules regarding transparency when hiring Dr. Brown.
A frequent school board critic, Paladino says the board called two closed-door executive sessions where they discussed Brown's nomination and her transition agreement, an arrangement that would pay her $800 a day in consulting fees until her final contract is approved.
