BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, the immensely popular restaurant with locations in Rochester and Syracuse, will open its first Buffalo location in summer 2013.
The restaurant will be located at 301 Franklin Street downtown, in a building currently owned by developer Mark Croce. In the past, the building had been used as an office and for storage, but it will be converted into a full-service restaurant.
Dinosaur opened its first restaurant in Syracuse in 1988. It then expanded to Rochester a decade later, and then to Harlem, Troy, and Newark, New Jersey. In addition to Buffalo, Dinosaur is also planning new restaurants in Stamford, Connecticut and Brooklyn, New York.
Dinosaur has regularly been featured on programs on the Food Network and the Travel Channel.
