Construction Begins on New Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino | News
BUFFALO, NY - Construction will soon start up again for a new Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino in downtown Buffalo.
The $130 million project was unveiled earlier this year by the Seneca Gaming Corporation.
The new casino will replace the existing Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino, which opened in 2007.
The project is expected to create 600 construction-type jobs. Once completed, the casino will need to fill 500 jobs for inside the casino.
Seneca Nation President Robert Odawi Porter says, "this time we are going to build it... construction is on schedule, the financing is in place, within 15 months it will be completed, and if we have another good Winter like last year, it could be sooner."
The new casino is expected to open in late 2013.
