Investigative Post: City Auditor Fired for Taking Inappropriate Photographs | News

The top fiscal watchdog at Buffalo's city hall was fired by Comptroller Mark Schroeder Thursday afternoon under sordid circumstances.

Darryl McPherson told Investigative Post editor Jim Heaney that his departure was based on professional disagreements with
his boss.

But Schroeder told Investigative Post he fired his chief auditor Thursday shortly after he received a complaint about incidents involving inappropriate conduct by McPherson.

"I asked Darryl about the allegations, and he admitted to them.  So obviously, I terminated him immediately," Schroeder said.
