In addition to all the food preparation and cooking taking place behind the scenes, there’s a tremendous amount of foot traffic — everyone from chefs to dishwashers and house managers to the waitstaff.

Needless to say, on any given day a restaurant kitchen floor also sees its share of spills and splashes. Food, beverages, water and even cooking oil can end up underneath the feet of restaurant employees at any point in time, increasing the likelihood of slips, falls and injuries to staff.

Dunkin’ Donuts Brings Cold Brew Coffee to Buffalo

Buffalo, NY (August 3, 2016) — Dunkin’ Donuts guests can enjoy a new coffee experience, as Cold Brew coffee is now available at all participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Western New York. Guests are invited to try a free sample of the Cold Brew coffee at local WNY Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants on August 5th and 6th between 10am and 2pm. Dunkin’ Donuts’ Cold Brew coffee is prepared by steeping a special blend of coffee in cold water over an extended period of time to extract a distinctive, rich flavor from the beans. The longer brewing process provides a rich, smooth coffee with an inherently sweeter flavor reminiscent of dark chocolate. Cold Brew offers another exciting choice for those who prefer their coffee cold, along with the brand’s signature Iced Coffee. Launched first in the metro New York and California markets earlier this summer, Cold Brew coffee is crafted by hand in Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in small batches and served each day while supplies last.

Dunkin’ Donuts and Rich Family Foundation Honor History of National Donut Day

Today, Dunkin’ Donuts & Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation (DDBRCF) celebrated National Donut Day with Rich Family Foundation in support of The Salvation Army. The Salvation Army founded National Donut Day in 1938 to pay tribute to “Donut Lassies”, female volunteers, who provided donuts, for soldiers on front lines in WWI. 

The two philanthropic foundations came together to sponsor an event at Rich Product’s Customer Solution Studio to support the mission of The Salvation Army in a fun way. Students from the nearby West Buffalo Charter School were invited to take part in “sweet” contests and creative donut decorating as they learned the importance of giving back to their community through an educational magic show put on by one of Rich’s culinary chefs with help from The Salvation Army.

BUFFALO, NY Dunkin’ Donuts is launching the unofficial start of summer with the new Loganberry Coolatta. The hometown flavor will be served exclusively in Buffalo Dunkin’ Donuts locations beginning today, May 30.

The new menu item will treat taste buds to a frozen version of the unique Buffalo staple. The tangy, fresh-tasting flavor of the loganberry, a real berry that is a cross between a ripe and tasty blackberry and a red raspberry, is combined with Dunkin’s signature Coolatta, creating an icy drink perfect for Buffalo summers.

Muskoka Brewery Expanding WNY Promotions in Time for Summer 2016

Buffalo, N.Y. – Muskoka Brewery is announcing a series of summer 2016 activities and promotions to celebrate its 20th anniversary year and ongoing expansion in the Western New York market.

Headquartered across the border in Muskoka, Central Ontario, Canada, the environmentally conscious brewery plans to continue integrating into the Buffalo Niagara regional craft beer scene, while kicking-off summer in Western New York with a variety of events to engage with the local community.

The brewery’s flagship gatherings will be “Muskoka Mondays at Canalside,” commencing on Monday, June 6 at 4 p.m.  The weekly happy hour sessions will be held in the beer garden at Canalside with live music, samples of Muskoka beers, giveaways and more.

E.M. Hager & Sons Company Building
 The E.M. Hager & Sons Company Building was a historic planing mill located in downtown Buffalo, Erie County, New York. The main section was built in 1878 and is a three-story brick building. Two-story additions were made to the main block about 1880, and a three-story wing about 1920. It features brick corbelling and segmental arched openings. E.M. Hager & Sons Company remained in operation until the 1980s, after which the building was converted to a restaurant (Spaghetti Warehouse) and night club.  It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.(Wikipedia)

Exit 2 Bar & Grille Plans SPCA Benefit, Paint Night and More

A Chili/Chowder/Soup Cook-off to benefit the SPCA and a fun-filled Paint Night are just two of the exciting things happening at Exit 2 Bar & Grille, located at 3191 Eggert Road in Tonawanda.

The second annual cook-off, from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 13, hopes to build on the success of last year’s event which raised more than $3,000 for the SPCA. Joining the fun this year will be WNY Heroes, Inc., a local organization that helps soldiers through innovative programs such as Pawsitive For Heroes, an initiative that matches service or therapy dogs with local veterans.
