Allentown's Cantina Loco Finally Opens Doors to the Public | Restaurants
Title (Max 100 Characters)
In the history of Buffalo Eats, I don’t think we’ve seen a more anticipated opening for a restaurant in Buffalo. I’ve probably read over 10 articles on Buffalo Rising, Buffalo Spree, The Buffalo News and Artvoice about Mike Andrzejewski’s new Mexican restaurant. Last night (Thursday Nov 17th) Cantina Loco opened it’s doors for the first time to customers and since we literally live right down the street, we stopped by on the first night. For the time being, they are only offering takeout. They’ll have a full opening when they eventually acquire their liquor license and finish remodeling the dining room/bar.
You can find their entire menu here; Burritos run from $6-7; Quesadillas $4-5.50 and Taco’s $5-6. These aren’t the mammoth burritos you’ll find at Lloyd, Moe’s or Chipotle, but for what they are lacking in quantity, they definitely make up for in quality of their ingredients. On Cantina Loco’s menu you’ll find ingredients that you can’t find at many other places in Buffalo; Grilled Kalbi Shorts, Tomatillo’s and Homemade Chorizo.
This quick write up isn’t a final verdict of the restaurant, this was a soft opening and I have a feeling that when we visit Cantina Loco in the coming weeks and months the food will only get better and better. This is simply an article showing some of the food that you can get today.
