Meet Buffalo's Newest Food Truck: The Knight Slider

About two weeks ago Knight Slider suddenly appeared on the Buffalo Food Truck scene. We love Buffalo’s Food Trucks, so we were excited to see a new one out and about (I think they were first spotted in Larkinville, damn that place is awesome). It took a few days but I (Alli) finally got a chance to head over for lunch last week while they were parked at the First Niagara Center (they really need some tables in that plaza so people can enjoy their food on the spot).

If you didn’t guess by the name (which obviously is a play on the best 80′s TV show ever), the Knight Slider specializes in small hamburgers, also known as a slider. Along with a classic slider (plain patty, $2.50), on the day I visited they had about 5 different slider options (~$3.50) on the menu. From what I have heard, much of the produce used is local and the owners (Ayoub Abboud and Remi Qarmout) have created a secret meat mixture for their burgers using ingredients from Pellicano’s in North Tonawanda. To find out much more about the history behind the Knight Slider I highly suggest you check out Buffalo.com’s recent post here (how cool is it that they donate all leftovers at the end of each day).
