Suzy Derksen, Program Support Coordinator of Jericho Road Ministries

Jericho Road Ministries (JRM) is a non-profit organization on the West Side of Buffalo working to facilitate wellness and self-sufficiency in the lives of refugee and low-income community members by addressing health, education, and economic barriers.

Jericho Road Ministries, born in 2003, is the non-profit adjunct to the Jericho Road Family Practice (JRFP). JRFP was formed in 1997 by Dr. Myron and Joyce Glick to provide excellent medical care in Buffalo's most underserved neighborhoods. In addition to serving patients who are native to Buffalo, Jericho Road Family Practice also serves a large number of refugees. Over the past 14 years, the Family Practice has grown to include two sites in both the West and East Sides, with eight medical providers. They see over 30,000 patient visits per year.

Jericho Road Ministries, working in partnership with the Family Practice, has over 2,500 client contacts per year. Their 12 community programs work in the areas of Youth & Education, Health & Family Services, and Adult Empowerment. Their vision is for Buffalo to become a city of abundant opportunity for the underserved and marginalized to become healthy, educated, and whole.
